cipux-passwd software package provides simple XML-RPC client to set your own password, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cipux-passwd
cipux-passwd is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cipux-passwd package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cipux-passwd *
You will get with cipux-passwd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
